Profession: Professional Speaker and Homemaking Mentor

Years teaching with NCE: 2 years (moved from Minnesota in 2014 where I taught 435 classes through 45 community education locations.)

Why do you teach at Nashville Community Education?
To share my passion and expertise in meal planning, prep and slow cooking.I enjoy knowing I help busy people streamline mealtimes.

If you weren’t teaching a class, what class would you be taking?
Business and Computer Training

What is one thing you wish people knew about NCE?
How affordable and interesting the classes are that they offer.

What’s one thing we would be surprised to learn about you?
I was once a very shy girl – not anymore!

 iPhone or Android? Why?
Android – like the style and features of the phone I have.

When you aren’t teaching a class with us, how are you spending your time?
Reading, speaking, cooking, teaching and building friendships. I also travel to Minnesota to spend time with my daughters and grandsons.

What’s the last book, podcast, or blog you read or listened to?

  • A podcast on building an online course.
  • A book on perfecting my speaking.
  • Blogs on increasing speaking opportunities.

If you are new to Nashville, what do you love the most about the city?
The warmth of the people I meet and their welcoming spirit.
