Hello,

My name is Chad L’Eplattenier and I’m a reference librarian at Nashville Public Library’s Green Hills Branch. I teach computer classes at the library on a regular basis and began teaching classes for NCE last fall. The most enjoyable aspect of teaching these classes is seeing the reaction from students when learning about the digital media available to them for free with a library card! Nashville Public Library offers a staggering amount of digital titles in multiple formats ranging from eBooks, eAudiobooks, streaming movies, and music downloads.

At Nashville Community Education, I teach several classes about how to use these resources. The Digital Books class will walk you through the process of checking out books and magazines with Overdrive and Zinio. The Digital Entertainment class will focus on streaming movies and music through Hoopla and Freegal. We provide tablets for students to use, however you are welcome to bring your own device.  Just remember to bring your library card and PIN number!

Feel free to contact me at chad.l’eplattenier@nashville.gov and also check out the library’s website at www.library.nashville.org.

Register for Chad’s upcoming free classes today:

Digital Books on July 7 from 6-7pm at the Cohn School
and
Digital Entertainment on July 14 from 6-7pm at the Cohn School
